Head of Operations - Leisure Facilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Operations to oversee multiple leisure facilities in and around Bristol . This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving efficiency, and maximising profitability across all sites. You will lead a team of facility managers, implement best practices, and ensure the highest standards of customer service and safety are maintained. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance service delivery and financial performance across all Bristol leisure facilities.
• Provide leadership and support to facility managers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee budgets, capital expenditure, and resource allocation to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, membership retention, and overall user experience.
• Identify opportunities for expansion, new service development, and operational innovation within the leisure sector.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior operational management role, preferably within the leisure or hospitality industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple sites and leading large teams.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, P&L management, and strategic planning.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and operational compliance.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement strategic operational improvements in the Bristol region.
