About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and strategic Head of Operations to oversee the smooth running of their prestigious sports venues in Birmingham . This leadership position demands a proactive approach to managing all operational aspects, ensuring exceptional fan experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You will play a crucial role in event planning, staff management, and resource allocation, directly contributing to the success of numerous sporting and entertainment events hosted throughout the year in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of sports facilities, ensuring optimal performance.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training for operations and security teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement of necessary supplies and services.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the venues.
• Collaborate with event management teams to deliver seamless event execution.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in operations management, preferably within large-scale venue management or the sports industry .
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong track record in team management.
• In-depth knowledge of venue operations, event logistics, and risk management.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure in Birmingham .
