About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to take on the role of Head of Sixth Form at a highly regarded secondary school in Bristol . This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the academic, personal, and social development of students in years 12 and 13, preparing them for university, apprenticeships, and future careers. You will guide the curriculum, provide pastoral care, and foster an environment of high aspiration and academic rigor. This role is crucial in ensuring our students achieve their full potential during these critical formative years, making a significant impact on their transition to higher education and professional life.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Sixth Form provision, ensuring high academic standards.
• Provide effective pastoral care and guidance to Sixth Form students.
• Oversee the UCAS application process and support students in securing university places.
• Develop and implement enrichment programs to broaden students' experiences.
• Liaise with parents, teachers, and external advisors regarding student progress and well-being.
• Inspire students to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in a leadership or management role within a secondary school.
• Strong understanding of post-16 education, including A-levels and vocational pathways.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to support students in their academic and personal development.
