About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic educator to lead their Sixth Form provision as Head of Sixth Form in Sheffield . This leadership role is crucial for guiding students through their post-16 education, ensuring they are well-prepared for university, apprenticeships, or the workplace. You will oversee academic progress, personal development, and pastoral care for Sixth Form students, working collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leadership to create an exceptional learning environment that fosters ambition and achievement, contributing to the school's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Sixth Form, including academic programmes, pastoral care, and student welfare.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance student attainment, progression, and overall experience in the Sixth Form.
• Provide guidance and support to Sixth Form students on university applications, career pathways, and personal development.
• Work closely with teaching staff to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery and effective assessment.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders to support Sixth Form success.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
• Significant experience in a leadership or management role within a secondary school, preferably with Sixth Form experience.
• A strong understanding of post-16 education, including A-levels, BTECs, and university admissions processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
