About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Head of Sports Performance Analysis to lead their dedicated analysis department in Nottingham . This senior role is pivotal in leveraging data and video analysis to enhance team and individual athlete performance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge analytical strategies, managing a team of performance analysts, and working closely with coaching staff to provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a deep understanding of sports analytics, video analysis technologies, and their application in optimizing performance across a variety of disciplines, driving data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive performance analysis strategy aligned with the organization's goals and coaching philosophy.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of performance analysts, overseeing their workload and development.
• Utilize advanced video analysis software and data analytics tools to provide detailed insights into team tactics, individual performance, and opposition scouting.
• Collaborate closely with head coaches and support staff to translate analytical findings into practical performance improvements.
• Design and deliver insightful reports and presentations to coaching staff and athletes on performance trends and strategic recommendations.
• Stay at the forefront of technological advancements in performance analysis and champion their adoption.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance analysis within elite sports, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency with industry-standard video analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Dartfish) and data analysis platforms.
• Strong understanding of sports tactics, player performance metrics, and statistical analysis.
• Proven ability to communicate complex data and insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
