About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Head of Youth Development to lead their prestigious football academy in Bristol . This senior role is responsible for nurturing and developing young talent, ensuring a clear pathway from academy to first-team level. You will oversee the entire youth program, from recruitment and coaching methodology to player welfare and education, creating an environment where aspiring footballers can reach their full potential both on and off the pitch. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive youth development strategy and coaching curriculum.
• Oversee the recruitment and retention of talented young players across various age groups.
• Manage and mentor the academy coaching staff, ensuring high standards of delivery.
• Ensure the holistic development of young players, including technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects.
• Liaise with parents, guardians, and educational institutions to support player welfare and education.
• Work closely with the first-team coaching staff to ensure seamless integration of progressing players.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in youth development coaching and management within professional football.
• Strong understanding of elite player development pathways and modern coaching methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team of coaches.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., UEFA A Licence) and a passion for developing young talent in Bristol .
