About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Squash Coach to lead their thriving squash program in Birmingham . This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching strategy for players of all levels, from juniors to competitive adults, aiming to foster talent, enhance performance, and promote the sport within the community. The Head Squash Coach will be instrumental in creating a positive and engaging environment that encourages skill development, sportsmanship, and a lifelong passion for squash. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage all aspects of the squash coaching curriculum and development programs.
• Conduct individual and group coaching sessions for various age groups and skill levels, focusing on technical, tactical, and physical development.
• Recruit, train, and mentor assistant coaches, fostering a cohesive and effective coaching team.
• Organize and oversee inter-club competitions, tournaments, and player development clinics.
• Promote squash programs within the facility and the wider community to attract new members and participants.
• Monitor player progress, provide constructive feedback, and develop personalized training plans to help players achieve their goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in coaching squash at competitive levels, preferably with experience in a Head Coach role.
• Relevant coaching qualifications and certifications (e.g., England Squash Level 2 or higher).
• Strong understanding of squash technique, strategy, and sports science principles.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective training programs for diverse age groups and skill sets.
• Experience in player recruitment and program promotion is advantageous.
