Head Squash Coach

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Head Squash Coach to lead their squash programs in Birmingham . You will be responsible for developing and delivering elite coaching for all levels, from beginners to competitive players, fostering a strong squash community within the club, and driving participation in tournaments and events. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach to shape the future of squash at the facility and contribute to the development of talented athletes in a supportive and vibrant environment, working closely with management to grow the sport.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive coaching curricula for various age groups and skill levels.
• Conduct individual and group coaching sessions, focusing on technical, tactical, and physical development.
• Recruit, train, and mentor assistant coaches and volunteers.
• Organize and manage inter-club matches, tournaments, and coaching clinics.
• Promote squash programs to attract new participants and engage existing members.
• Monitor player progress, provide feedback, and adapt training plans accordingly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in squash coaching, with at least 2 years in a Head Coach or equivalent role.
• Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., England Squash Level 2 or higher).
• Strong knowledge of squash techniques, strategies, and sports science principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple groups and adapt coaching styles to diverse needs.
