About the Role
Our client is searching for a highly experienced and motivated Head Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead their performance team in Birmingham, West Midlands, UK . This senior role involves designing and implementing elite training programs to optimize athletic performance and injury prevention for a diverse range of athletes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored to the specific needs of various sports teams and individual athletes.
- Conduct athlete assessments to identify areas for improvement and design individualized training plans.
- Supervise and mentor assistant coaches, ensuring proper execution of training sessions and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with sports medicine staff, nutritionists, and sports psychologists to provide integrated athlete support.
- Maintain detailed records of athlete progress, performance metrics, and injury management, using data to inform program adjustments.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach role or equivalent senior position.
- Certification from a recognized professional body (e.g., NSCA CSCS, SCCC) is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and athletic performance enhancement strategies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, foster a positive training environment, and communicate effectively with athletes and staff.
