About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Swimming Coach to lead their competitive swim team in Liverpool . This role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program that enhances the performance and skill development of swimmers across all age groups and levels. You will foster a positive team environment that encourages discipline, sportsmanship, and personal achievement, while ensuring the safety and well-being of all athletes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in competitive swimming, excellent coaching methodologies, and a passion for developing athletes to their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute effective training plans tailored to different competitive levels and age groups.
• Lead and conduct daily swim practices, focusing on stroke technique, endurance, and race strategy.
• Recruit and retain swimmers for the competitive program, fostering team growth and spirit.
• Monitor swimmer progress, provide constructive feedback, and establish individual performance goals.
• Ensure a safe training environment, adhering to all safety regulations and best practices in aquatic sports.
• Collaborate with parents, club management, and assistant coaches to support swimmer development and team objectives.

Requirements

• ASCA or equivalent coaching certification required; higher-level certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at a competitive level, with a proven track record of success.
• In-depth knowledge of swimming techniques, training principles, and periodization.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications.
