About the Role

Our client, a leading aquatic centre in Bradford , is searching for an inspirational and highly qualified Head Swimming Coach to lead their competitive swimming program. This crucial role involves developing and implementing training strategies to nurture talent, improve performance, and foster a positive team spirit among swimmers of all ages and abilities. You will manage a team of assistant coaches, oversee scheduling, and work collaboratively with parents and club committees to ensure the program's continued success and growth within the West Yorkshire community. The goal is to elevate the club's standing and provide an exceptional swimming experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive training plans for competitive swimming squads, focusing on technique, endurance, and strategy.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of swimming coaches, ensuring consistent coaching standards.
• Oversee swimmer recruitment, assessment, and progression through different squad levels.
• Manage swimming program budgets, including equipment and competition costs.
• Coordinate team participation in local, regional, and national competitions.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team environment that promotes personal bests and sportsmanship.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in competitive swimming coaching, with a proven record of developing athletes.
• Recognized swimming coaching qualifications (e.g., Swim England Level 2 or higher).
• Strong knowledge of swimming physiology, training methodologies, and performance analysis.
• Experience in managing and motivating coaching staff and athletes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with swimmers, parents, and stakeholders.
• Valid Safeguarding Children certification and First Aid qualifications.
