About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly qualified Head Tennis Coach to lead their thriving tennis program in Birmingham . This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive coaching strategy for players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to elite competitors. You will be responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, identifying and nurturing talent, and ensuring the continued success and growth of the club's tennis offerings. The ideal candidate is passionate about player development and possesses exceptional leadership and communication skills to inspire both players and coaching staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality tennis coaching programs for individuals and groups across various age categories.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of assistant tennis coaches, setting performance standards and providing ongoing development.
• Develop player pathways and competitive schedules, aiming to improve player rankings and tournament participation.
• Oversee the daily operations of the tennis facilities, including court maintenance coordination and equipment management.
• Promote tennis participation and organize club events, tournaments, and social activities to enhance member engagement.
• Collaborate with club management to set strategic goals for the tennis department and ensure financial targets are met.

Requirements

• Professional tennis coaching certification (e.g., LTA Level 4 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in coaching, with demonstrated success in developing players.
• Strong understanding of modern coaching methodologies and player development principles.
• Experience in managing and leading a coaching team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.
