About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Healthcare Architect to contribute to their portfolio of state-of-the-art medical facilities in Stoke-on-Trent . This role demands a unique blend of architectural expertise and a profound understanding of the complex functional, operational, and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare environments. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, project teams, and stakeholders to design spaces that enhance patient care, safety, and operational efficiency. This is a vital role within a dedicated team focused on creating healing environments and improving healthcare infrastructure, requiring on-site presence for project coordination and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop architectural solutions for new healthcare facilities and renovations.
- Ensure designs meet stringent healthcare regulations, codes, and functional requirements (e.g., HTM, HBN).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical planners, engineers, and healthcare providers.
- Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and performance specifications for healthcare projects.
- Conduct site reviews and engage with construction teams to ensure design intent is realized.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with a proven track record in healthcare architecture (minimum 5 years).
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare planning principles, clinical workflows, and medical equipment integration.
- Experience with relevant healthcare design guidelines and regulatory frameworks in the UK.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including BIM.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for client-facing interactions.
