About the Role
Our client, a leading architectural firm renowned for its expertise in healthcare design, is seeking a specialized Healthcare Architect to join their esteemed team in Edinburgh . This role focuses on the design and delivery of state-of-the-art healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and research centres. You will be instrumental in creating environments that promote healing, patient well-being, and operational efficiency, working at the forefront of healthcare architecture. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex healthcare facilities, ensuring adherence to specific medical planning guidelines and building standards.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and technical consultants to define project requirements and develop design solutions.
- Develop detailed architectural drawings, space plans, and specifications for healthcare environments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health building notes (HBNs) and health technical memoranda (HTMs).
- Manage project delivery from concept to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met.
- Integrate innovative design strategies to enhance patient experience, staff efficiency, and infection control.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with extensive experience specifically in healthcare facility design .
- Deep understanding of healthcare operational requirements, medical equipment integration, and infection control principles.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit , with experience in complex healthcare modeling.
- Knowledge of Scottish and UK building regulations applicable to healthcare projects.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills, adept at engaging with diverse stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
