Healthcare Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialist Healthcare Architect to contribute to their expanding portfolio of state-of-the-art medical facilities in the Brighton area. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique complexities and regulatory requirements inherent in healthcare design, including patient flow, infection control, and therapeutic environments. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, engineers, and project managers to deliver innovative and functional spaces that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This hybrid role offers a balance of engaging office-based collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HTM, HBN).
• Develop detailed architectural plans, ensuring optimal layouts for patient, staff, and visitor circulation.
• Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to understand their operational needs and translate them into design solutions.
• Coordinate with specialist consultants, including mechanical, electrical, and medical equipment planners.
• Produce high-quality design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and presentations.
• Undertake site inspections and reviews to ensure construction quality and adherence to design intent.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Architect with a proven track record in healthcare design.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience focused on hospital, clinic, or other healthcare facility projects.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare building standards and guidelines.
• Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural design software.
• Strong understanding of infection control principles and their application in design.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
