Helpdesk Support Analyst

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a proactive and technically minded Helpdesk Support Analyst to join their IT support team based in Bradford . This role is essential for providing first-line technical assistance to internal employees, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving a range of hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and keen to develop their IT support career within a stable organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, performing root cause analysis.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors, providing comprehensive problem details.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support requests, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ are desirable.
