About the Role
Our client seeks a diligent and technically proficient Helpdesk Support Technician to bolster their IT support team in Sunderland . You will provide hands-on and remote support, diagnosing and resolving a wide array of hardware, software, and network problems. Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the company network.
- Document all support requests, solutions, and system configurations accurately.
- Assist with IT asset management and inventory tracking.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Helpdesk Technician , IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with IT support ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are advantageous.
