About the Role
Our client is looking for a technically proficient Helpdesk Technician to join their support team in Belfast . This role involves providing first-line technical support to internal users and external clients, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve user-reported problems via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors.
- Document all support activities and solutions in the IT helpdesk system.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and common software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective user interaction.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are advantageous.
