HGV Class 1 Driver - National Haulage

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and drive an HGV Class 1 vehicle for long-distance freight transport.
• Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, adhering to schedules.
• Secure loads appropriately and ensure compliance with weight and safety regulations.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes, driver logs, and maintenance reports.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any defects or required maintenance promptly.
• Maintain excellent communication with the dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license .
• Valid Driver CPC and Digi-Tacho card.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Thorough understanding of UK driving regulations and tachograph laws.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
