About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join their dedicated transport team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across various locations, operating a state-of-the-art vehicle. This role is essential for maintaining our client's reputation for dependable delivery services. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to road safety, excellent driving skills, and a customer-focused attitude, contributing to the smooth operation of their logistics network throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently for local and long-distance deliveries.
• Ensure timely collection and delivery of goods, adhering strictly to schedules and routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon completion.
• Adhere to all legal requirements regarding driving hours, tachograph regulations, and road safety.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients at delivery and collection points.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license .
• Current Driver CPC card and valid tachograph card.
• Proven experience as an HGV Class 1 driver.
• A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for the demands of the role.
