HGV Class 1 Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join their logistics team based in Aberdeen . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of road safety. This role is crucial to our client's supply chain operations, requiring a professional who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Plan and execute daily delivery schedules, ensuring all goods are transported securely and arrive at their destinations on time.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its load, reporting any defects or issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery paperwork, and any other required documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery and collection, representing the company professionally at all times.
• Adhere to working time regulations and ensure safe loading and unloading procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license .
• Possess a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
• Have a clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Excellent time management and navigational skills.
