HGV Class 2 Driver

Sterling Personnel are currently working alongside a well-established logistics company based in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire.

The company are looking to take on multiple driver on permanent and ongoing positions. This will see you starting off through agency for 8 weeks and going straight permanent with the company after this time.

Job Role: HGV Class 2 Driver Location: Tuxford, Nottinghamshire Start times : 07:30am (Monday – Friday) Salary: £16 - £19.50 p/h

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV 2 and able to drive for long distances across England.
• Load and unload goods and materials from trucks using pallet jacks and other equipment
• Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient delivery of goods
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functioning
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles

Experience

• Valid C license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience in driving
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to lift objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
• Strong attention to detail to accurately record delivery information
• Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner
