HGV Technician

Hgv Technician / Mechanic / Fitter

Location: Eastleigh Salary: £38,480 - £40,352 (DOE) + Overtime Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare HGVs for MOT testing.
• Complete brake testing and associated inspections.
• Undertake welding and fabrication work.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs.
• Service and repair rigid and articulated HGVs.
• Work on curtain-sided vehicles and skeletal (skelly) trailers.

Requirements

• Ideally qualified to Level 3 in HGV Maintenance and Repair.
• HGV Class 1 driving licence - essential.
• Driver CPC - essential.
• Clean driving licence.
• Previous experience working on rigid and articulated vehicles.
• Experience with curtain-sided vehicles and skeletal trailers.
