Workshop Mechanic

Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex Salary: £46,215 per annum + Overtime Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible working hours considered Benefits: 25 Days holiday + Bank Holiday, Annual tool allowance, up to 6% pension contributions

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle maintenance inspections, servicing and repairs.
• Diagnose faults and complete the necessary repairs.
• Work with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure safety inspections are planned at least six months in advance.
• Ensure all statutory vehicle inspections and obligations are met.
• Complete brake testing as required.
• Conduct post-repair road tests to confirm vehicles are safe and roadworthy.

Essential Requirements

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience maintaining and repairing large vehicle fleets.
• Experience working with specialist hydraulic systems.
• A strong commitment to vehicle safety, compliance and quality workmanship
