Location: Reading Salary: £47,000 to £49,000 DOE + Overtime Hours: Monday-Friday plus alternating Saturday mornings Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

The Role

• Carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
• Preparing vehicles for annual MOT testing
• Identifying vehicle defects and carrying out appropriate repairs
• Completing warranty work when required
• Maintaining accurate service records, job cards and workshop documentation
• Providing roadside assistance when required and safe to do so
• Working efficiently to agreed deadlines and maintaining vehicle availability
• Following all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment

What We're Looking For

• City & Guilds 3, NVQ Level 3 HGV Maintenance, or equivalent
• Candidates with significant relevant HGV maintenance experience will also be considered
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• HGV Class 2 licence or above would be advantageous
