Highways Supervisor
Milton Keynes
£50,000 - £60,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor to oversee road and highways projects across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas, including Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
The Role
- Supervise highways and new roads projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Coordinate site teams and suppliers to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
- Monitor progress, quality and productivity against project requirements and programmes.
- Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions where required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, including relevant highways and construction standards.
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly, escalating matters when necessary.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspections and progress reports.
About You
- Previous supervisory experience on highways, new roads or related civil engineering projects.
- Demonstrable experience working on new roads schemes.
- Valid SSSTS certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel across the Milton Keynes area and locations within approximately 40 miles.
Location and Package
- Based in Milton Keynes, with projects across Oxford, Cambridge and surrounding areas.
- Permanent position.
- Salary of £50,000 to £60,000, depending on experience
