About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Hotel General Manager to lead their flagship property in the heart of Glasgow . This senior leadership position encompasses full responsibility for the hotel's operations, profitability, and reputation. You will oversee all departments, drive strategic initiatives, and foster a culture of excellence in service and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned hospitality professional with a deep understanding of hotel operations, a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, and the ability to manage effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site leadership with strategic remote oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless service delivery across all departments including front office, housekeeping, F&B, and MICE.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve financial targets, optimize occupancy rates, and enhance market share.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the senior management team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction are met and exceeded, actively resolving escalated guest issues.
- Manage operational budgets, control expenses, and maximize revenue through effective yield management and sales strategies.
- Maintain compliance with all legal, health, safety, and licensing regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in hotel management , with at least 3 years in a General Manager role.
- Proven track record of success in driving profitability, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations , financial management, sales, and marketing.
- Experience with hybrid work models, demonstrating ability to manage teams and operations effectively across physical and virtual presence.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is essential.
