About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and charismatic Hotel General Manager to lead their premier property in the vibrant city of Glasgow . This executive position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality and a proven ability to drive operational excellence, financial performance, and outstanding guest experiences. You will be responsible for the overall success of the hotel, managing all departments and ensuring that it remains a top choice for both business and leisure travelers, while cultivating a positive and high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, marketing, and financial management.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve and exceed budgeted revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction targets.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the hotel's management team and staff, fostering a culture of exceptional service and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
• Build strong relationships with guests, local businesses, and community stakeholders to enhance the hotel's reputation and market position.
• Manage operational costs, optimize resource allocation, and ensure efficient P&L management for the Glasgow hotel.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Manager or Senior Assistant General Manager in a comparable hotel.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, sales, and marketing principles.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of achieving financial targets and enhancing guest satisfaction scores.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
