About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Hotel General Manager to lead their property in the heart of Cardiff . You will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the hotel, focusing on maximizing revenue, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence across all departments. This pivotal role requires a strong leader with a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry, a commitment to quality, and the ability to inspire a diverse team to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve and exceed financial and operational goals.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest service are met and exceeded at all times.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and drive revenue growth initiatives.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the hotel management team and staff to foster a culture of excellence.
• Maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and the local community.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Hotel General Manager or a senior management role within a hotel.
• In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, sales, marketing, and financial management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
• Strong understanding of guest service principles and operational standards.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Hospitality Management is advantageous.
