Location: Bristol, BS1 Contract: Temporary, initially 3 months Hours: 37 hours per week Positions: 3 Working pattern: Hybrid – office, onsite and home working Driving licence: Required – pool car available DBS: Standard DBS required
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy Tenancy Management Team.
You will manage a designated housing patch, overseeing tenancies from start to finish and providing support to tenants to help sustain their tenancies.
The role will involve dealing with tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, hate crime, complaints and complex housing matters, while working closely with tenants, colleagues and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a designated patch of tenancies and housing sites.
- Manage and prioritise a varied caseload.
- Deal with tenancy breaches, ASB and hate crime.
- Identify tenant support needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Handle complaints and complex enquiries.
- Work with residents, partner agencies and other professionals.
- Attend multi-agency meetings, case conferences and resident groups.
- Maintain accurate housing and case-management records.
- Support initiatives to improve local communities and housing estates.
About You
You will have previous experience within housing, public-sector or third-sector services, along with an understanding of tenancy management and relevant housing legislation.
You will also have experience managing caseloads or a designated patch and working effectively with tenants, partner agencies and colleagues.
A CIH or equivalent housing qualification is desirable but not essential.
