Housing Pathway Coordinator

Single Homeless Project has a new opportunity for a Housing Pathway Coordinator ?????to join our team based in Camden, London. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and, in return, receive a competitive salary starting at £34,127.11 and rising incrementally to £36,947.49 per annum.

We’re London’s leading homelessness charity – and we get things done.

In a city where hundreds are forced into homelessness every day, our work has never been more needed or more challenging. And we’re not shying away. We’re rolling up our sleeves to make change and helping over 10,000 Londoners every year. We prevent homelessness, provide safe places to live and give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. And we never give up.

We’re here for Londoners wherever they are on their journey. We start with trust, building relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward. Every day, we put people first in everything we do, challenging injustice and barriers that keep people from the safety, stability and opportunity they deserve. We stand alongside people as they rebuild and shape a future that feels their own.

Joining Single Homeless Project means joining a team that’s bold, compassionate and determined to do better for the people we support and for each other. You’ll work alongside colleagues with lived experience, in a space that’s trans-inclusive, disability-friendly, and actively striving to be anti-oppressive and equitable.

We’re not perfect, but we’re real. We listen. We learn. And we push forward, together. Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to lead with empathy, spark change, and help build a London where no one is left behind.

About the Housing Pathway Coordinator role:

Rough sleeping pathways only work when the system around people moves with urgency, consistency and accountability. This role is about making sure people sleeping rough, or at risk of returning to the streets, are not left waiting, drifting between services, or losing accommodation because barriers have not been gripped quickly enough.

As Outreach Housing Pathway Coordinator, you will work within Camden’s integrated Rough Sleeping and Outreach Hub to help people access and sustain appropriate accommodation. You will hold oversight of where people are in their housing journey, identify what is blocking progress, and work with outreach teams, Navigators, hostels, pathway providers, community safety partners and statutory services to keep plans moving.

You will focus on the points where pathways can break down: delays, exclusions, unsuitable offers, unresolved risks, street activity linked to accommodation, or support needs that have not yet been fully understood or responded to. Through assertive engagement, practical case coordination and strong partnership working, you will help people stabilise their accommodation and reduce the risk of returning to rough sleeping.

Working within Camden’s No Wrong Door model, you will bring grip, judgement and persistence to complex situations, ensuring people experiencing multiple disadvantage receive a response that is joined-up, trauma-informed and focused on lasting routes away from the street. SHP will support you with the training, reflective practice and development opportunities needed to continue building your expertise in this work.

About you as our Housing Pathway Coordinator:

You understand that people experiencing rough sleeping are often navigating trauma, exclusion, unmet needs and systems that have not worked for them. You bring patience, persistence and a clear belief that people should not be written off when engagement is difficult.

You know how homelessness pathways, outreach services and supported accommodation can work together, and you can spot where delays, exclusions or gaps in communication are putting someone’s route away from the street at risk.

You are confident working with complexity. You can hold risk, need and accountability together, making balanced decisions while keeping people’s safety, dignity and long-term accommodation sustainment at the centre.

You build relationships that help things move. Whether you are speaking with someone on the street, a hostel, a Navigator, a statutory service or a community safety partner, you communicate clearly, follow through on actions and keep people focused on solutions.

You bring practical judgement, emotional resilience and a trauma-informed approach to your work, with the ability to stay calm and purposeful when situations are challenging, stuck or urgent.

Our attractive benefits package includes:

A salary increase after successfully completing six month's probationary period

A 37.5 hour working week including flexible working hours (core hours are 10am – 4pm) in non-accommodation services

25 days annual leave, increasing annually to the maximum 30 days (plus paid Bank Holidays),

A contributory pension scheme: Single Homeless Project will contribute the equivalent of 5% of your annual salary

Staff Health Cash Plan and discounts scheme

Comprehensive and integrated training programme designed specifically to develop the skills and knowledge involved in our work
