HR Advisor - Employee Relations Focus

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor with a strong focus on employee relations to join their team in Derby . This role is critical for ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, managing complex employee issues, and providing expert advice to managers and employees. You will play a key part in fostering a positive and productive workplace culture by effectively managing employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance concerns within the Derby operational hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on all aspects of employee relations, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, and absence management.
• Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and disputes, recommending appropriate courses of action.
• Provide guidance and support to line managers on HR best practices and employment law.
• Develop and deliver HR training on employee relations matters to management.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively communicated.
• Support the HR team with other HR generalist duties as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly concerning disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to conduct investigations impartially and confidentially.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload.
• A commitment to working from the Derby office full-time.
