About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Advisor with a specialization in Employee Relations to join their team in Plymouth, Devon . This role will focus on providing expert guidance and support on all employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant handling of issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment, acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers in the Plymouth area, and contributing to the development of HR policies that uphold these principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advise on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations issues, ensuring a fair and objective process.
- Provide guidance and training to line managers on best practices in employee relations and HR policies.
- Ensure all employee relations activities are compliant with UK employment law and company policies.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures related to employee conduct and performance.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role with a strong focus on employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practices in grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Excellent investigation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification/experience.
