HR Advisor - Employee Relations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized HR Advisor with a focus on Employee Relations to join their team in Nottingham . This role will be responsible for managing and advising on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and employment law. You will play a critical role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by providing expert guidance to managers and employees on matters such as grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations.
• Lead and manage investigations into grievances, disciplinary matters, and other complex employee issues.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment law and best HR practices in all employee relations activities.
• Develop and deliver training to managers on employee relations best practices.
• Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated and applied.
• Mediate disputes and facilitate resolutions to maintain positive working relationships.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor with a strong focus on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly concerning disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and producing detailed reports.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain impartial and objective when handling sensitive issues.
• Relevant HR qualification (e.g., CIPD) is highly advantageous.
