HR Advisor - Employee Relations

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated HR Advisor with a specialization in Employee Relations to join their team in Nottingham . This role is crucial for maintaining a fair, compliant, and positive workplace environment by providing expert advice and support on employee relations matters. You will work closely with line managers and employees to resolve issues effectively and ensure adherence to company policies and UK employment law. This hybrid position offers a great opportunity to balance focused work in the office with the flexibility of remote working, supporting operations in and around Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and capability matters.
• Conduct thorough and objective investigations into employee concerns and policy breaches.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies, advising on best practices.
• Assist in managing difficult employee situations, offering solutions and mitigating risk.
• Contribute to proactive employee relations initiatives and training programs to enhance manager capability.
• Maintain accurate records of ER cases and outcomes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an HR role with a significant focus on employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practices in employee relations.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations and managing ER cases.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is advantageous.
