About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated HR Advisor with a specialization in Employee Relations to join their busy team in Birmingham . This role is crucial in ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures, providing guidance on complex ER cases, and promoting a positive and productive working environment. You will work closely with line managers and employees to resolve disputes, conduct investigations, and offer proactive advice to mitigate risks. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing for a balanced approach to supporting the organization's people needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advise on a range of employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
- Conduct thorough investigations into reported employee concerns, ensuring fairness, objectivity, and confidentiality.
- Provide coaching and support to line managers on HR best practices and legal compliance related to employee relations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar role, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing time between office and remote work.
- CIPD Level 5 or above is desirable.
