About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and pragmatic HR Advisor to provide essential HR support to their teams based in and around Sunderland . This role offers a hybrid working model, combining the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative benefits of office-based interaction. You will be responsible for advising line managers and employees on a range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance, and policy interpretation, playing a key role in fostering a positive and productive work environment in compliance with legal standards and company values, contributing to the overall HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Support the recruitment and selection process, ensuring fair and effective practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Assist in the delivery of HR training and development programs.
Requirements
- Experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations issues effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setting.
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is preferred.
