About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive HR Advisor to join their established HR department in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for providing day-to-day HR support to employees and line managers, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and fostering a positive employee relations environment. You will be a key point of contact for HR queries, contributing to the implementation of HR policies and procedures. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional to develop their career in a hands-on role within a supportive team, playing an integral part in maintaining high standards of HR practice throughout the company, working closely with various departments to ensure compliance and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR advice and support to employees and line managers on a wide range of HR issues, including policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Manage employee relations cases, conducting investigations and providing recommendations for resolution.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process, from advertising roles to completing induction programmes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
- Contribute to HR projects, such as developing training materials or improving HR processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
