HR Advisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join their team in Derby . This role is instrumental in providing comprehensive HR support and expert advice to managers and employees, ensuring the consistent application of HR policies and employment law. You will play a vital part in managing employee relations, supporting recruitment, and contributing to various HR projects that enhance the employee experience. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to line managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation.
• Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
• Support the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including job profiling, interviewing, and offer management.
• Assist in the implementation and review of HR initiatives, such as performance management and training programmes.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Contribute to HR projects aimed at process improvement and employee engagement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
• Solid understanding of UK employment law and best practices in HR.
• Proven experience in handling employee relations issues.
• Strong organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent relevant experience is highly preferred.
