About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Advisor to join their established HR team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial in providing comprehensive HR support to managers and employees, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and upholding company policies. You will be a key point of contact for HR queries, playing a vital role in employee relations, recruitment, and onboarding, contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation, coupled with a passion for supporting people and driving positive change within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and line managers across various departments in Newcastle upon Tyne .
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management procedures.
- Support the recruitment process from advertising roles to onboarding new hires, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they remain up-to-date.
- Contribute to HR projects, such as the rollout of new HR initiatives or employee surveys.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience in managing employee relations cases and supporting recruitment processes.
- Proficiency in using HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
