HR Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join their team based in Milton Keynes . This role is integral to providing comprehensive HR support to managers and employees, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures. You will play a key role in managing employee relations, supporting recruitment processes, and contributing to various HR projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a busy, office-based environment dedicated to upholding high standards of HR practice and employee welfare.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance, and terms of employment.
• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, such as grievances, disciplinary procedures, and absence management, in line with company policy and employment law.
• Support the recruitment and onboarding process, from job posting to candidate selection and induction.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Contribute to HR projects, including organisational change, training initiatives, and HR system improvements.
• Maintain accurate employee data and HR records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or a similar HR role with a strong ER focus.
• Thorough knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise effectively.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload efficiently.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) is highly desirable.
• Commitment to working effectively within an office-based team in Milton Keynes .
