HR Advisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join their team based in Portsmouth . This role will provide essential HR support and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with employment law and promoting best HR practices across the organisation. You will handle a range of HR issues, from employee relations to policy implementation, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR advice and support to line managers and employees on a day-to-day basis.
• Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Support recruitment and selection processes, including advertising roles, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
• Administer employee benefits and support payroll functions.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and organisational development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR role, with a strong understanding of employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with HRIS systems and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• CIPD qualification (Level 3 or above) or equivalent is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively within an office environment and manage multiple priorities.
