HR Compliance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws and regulations. This hybrid role, which will require some office presence in Bristol , will focus on developing, implementing, and monitoring HR policies and procedures to maintain a compliant and ethical workplace. You will play a crucial role in risk mitigation and fostering a culture of integrity. This position is vital for safeguarding the organisation and ensuring fair employment practices for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment law.
• Conduct regular audits of HR practices and documentation to identify and address compliance risks.
• Manage and respond to employment tribunal claims and legal inquiries.
• Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and advise management accordingly.
• Develop and deliver training programs on HR compliance topics to employees and managers.
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, HR, or a related field; relevant professional qualification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance, employee relations, or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, including contracts, discrimination, and health & safety.
• Experience in conducting HR investigations and managing compliance audits.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, collaborating with remote and in-office teams.
