About the Role
Our client seeks a versatile and dedicated HR Generalist to support their operations in Birmingham . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of daily HR activities, from onboarding new employees to managing employee relations and benefits administration. You will work closely with the HR Manager to implement policies, procedures, and HR initiatives that foster a productive and positive workplace culture. This hybrid position offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing for a balanced approach to supporting the team in the vibrant city of Birmingham and its surrounding regions, ensuring a hands-on yet adaptable HR service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing support, and offboarding.
- Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with providers and employees.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, providing guidance to managers and employees in line with company policies and employment law.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS) and generate HR reports as required.
- Support the HR Manager in various HR projects and initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role, ideally with exposure to UK employment law.
- Solid understanding of HR functions such as payroll, benefits, employee relations, and recruitment.
- Familiarity with HRIS software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Relevant HR qualification or working towards one (e.g., CIPD Level 3 or 5).
