HR Generalist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced HR Generalist to join their established team in Sunderland . This role is integral to supporting the HR function across the organisation, managing a broad range of HR activities. You will be responsible for implementing HR policies, advising on employee relations, assisting with talent acquisition, and contributing to various HR projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and a proactive approach to supporting both employees and management in achieving business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and line managers on a variety of HR matters.
• Manage recruitment processes, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, and coordinating interviews.
• Handle employee relations issues, providing advice and support in line with company policy and legal requirements.
• Assist in the administration of compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Support HR projects related to employee engagement, training, and organisational development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a HR Generalist role, covering a broad spectrum of HR functions.
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Strong understanding of recruitment and employee relations processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HR software and MS Office.
• Must be able to commute to our office in Sunderland as required.
