About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and organised HR Officer to join their established Human Resources department in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is integral to the smooth running of HR operations, providing essential support to employees and management across various HR functions. You will be involved in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration, ensuring high standards of service and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace environment and contributing to the HR team's objectives, supporting the strategic direction of the company through effective people management practices within the Stoke-on-Trent region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process for new employees.
- Provide HR support and guidance on day-to-day employee queries and issues.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations activities, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Contribute to the administration of payroll and benefits.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role or as an HR Officer.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification is desirable.
