HR Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organised HR Officer to join their team in Leeds . This role is fundamental to the effective operation of the HR department, providing essential support across a broad spectrum of HR activities. You will be responsible for ensuring HR processes are efficient, compliant, and contribute to a positive employee experience. The hybrid nature of this role allows for a dynamic work arrangement, blending essential office-based collaboration with remote flexibility to support the organisation's needs in the vibrant city of Leeds.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the HR team with day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and administration.
• Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring data integrity within the HRIS and other systems.
• Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits, including payroll queries and benefits enrollment.
• Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment terms.
• Help coordinate training and development activities, tracking participation and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UK employment legislation, flagging any potential issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an HR support role, such as HR Officer or HR Administrator.
• Good understanding of core HR functions and UK employment law basics.
• Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
