HR Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and organised HR Officer to support their HR function in Plymouth . This role will involve assisting with a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and supporting employee relations. You will work closely with the HR team and line managers to ensure HR policies are implemented effectively and that employees receive excellent support. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR principles and a keen eye for detail, contributing to a positive and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs, and coordinating interviews.
• Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
• Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system and ensure compliance with data protection.
• Support the HR team with employee relations matters, including initial advice and documentation.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
• Help organise HR-related training and development activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an HR Officer or HR Assistant role.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office applications.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Commutable to Plymouth for hybrid working.
