HR Specialist - Employee Relations

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated HR Specialist with a focus on Employee Relations to join their fully remote team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair treatment, and promoting a positive and compliant work environment across the organization. You will act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations, fostering a culture of respect and constructive dialogue within a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary hearings, and performance management processes.
• Provide expert advice and coaching to line managers on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and legal compliance.
• Develop and update employee relations policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legislative changes.
• Proactively identify potential employee relations risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs on employee relations topics for managers and staff.
• Collaborate with other HR functions to ensure a holistic approach to employee management and support.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a dedicated Employee Relations role or as a Senior HR Generalist with a strong ER focus.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly regarding employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough and impartial investigations and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience working effectively in a remote environment and managing sensitive issues with discretion.
