Job Description
Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for HV Fitters on a 2-month Contract, located in the North Wales.
We are currently recruiting experienced HV Fitters to support works on a National Grid substation project in North Wales. Candidates must have previous experience working within National Grid substations and hold the relevant site access/safety certification.
HV Fitters – Responsibilities
- Installation and assembly of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear)
- Installation of HV switchgear and associated equipment
- Primary plant installation and assembly
- Mechanical fitting and alignment of HV equipment
- Working from engineering drawings and installation instructions
- Assisting with equipment preparation and installation
- Carrying out works in accordance with National Grid procedures and specifications
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards
Essential Requirements
Candidates must have:
- National Grid Persons
- CSCS / EMSS / CCNSG or relevant equivalent certification
- Previous experience working on National Grid substations
- Experience working with GIS installation & Busbar Installation
- Strong understanding of substation site safety and procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site installation team
Previous experience working on HV/EHV substation projects, GIS installations would be highly advantageous.
